The World Christian Association of Parliamentarians (hereinafter referred to as the Association) is an informal fellowship of current and former national parliamentarians who share Christian values and operate on an interfaith basis. The idea for the Association emerged in the context of a growing crisis in the world order and the declining authority of international human rights and humanitarian organizations. The Association is currently in the organizing committee stage and is attracting like-minded individuals from BRICS countries and the Global South, as well as conservative parliamentarians from Western cultures (Europe and the USA).
The Association's goals include the protection and promotion of Christian values such as human rights and freedoms, high moral ideals, the priority of the spiritual over the material, humanism, mutual respect, peacemaking, mercy, and solidarity. Thus, the Association's tasks involve supporting peacekeeping and humanitarian initiatives, as well as interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
