On August 20, 2025, a significant meeting was held in Moscow, marking a new chapter in Russian-African cooperation. The head of the International Medical Mission to BRICS+ countries, Ekaterina Glock, Oleg Glock (aide to State Duma deputy Dmitry Kuznetsov), and Nyanka Aba, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea to Russia, discussed prospects for collaboration and reached an important decision: a medical mission will depart for the Republic of Guinea as early as December this year.
Ekaterina Glock's International Medical Mission is a team of experienced doctors and specialists who provide free assistance to residents of African countries in need of support and share modern knowledge of Russian medicine with local colleagues. The mission's tasks cover a wide range of areas: from reducing maternal and child mortality and training doctors to strengthening humanitarian ties and shaping a positive image of Russia on the international stage.
Ekaterina Glock is known as a world-renowned midwife, the founder of the "New Birth" center, and a speaker at international congresses. She conducts courses for women and medical professionals, develops advanced training programs, and actively promotes advanced Russian practices in the field of healthcare.
As part of the mission in Guinea, training courses will be conducted for doctors and midwives, focusing on modern childbirth methods, reducing risks for mother and child, newborn care, and implementing practices that help preserve family health from the first minutes of a child's life.
The upcoming trip will be an important step that will not only strengthen Russian-African partnership but also tangibly improve the quality of medical care in the region.
