Guntars Dankbars, a Muscovite of Latvian origin, and his wife went to Kenya as volunteers for one year, but they have now been living there for eight years.

It turned out that there was much more work to do, and many people needed help. The Dankbars couple opens schools in the Turkana desert, builds schools with donations from readers of their blog and their own funds.

— We with the female volunteers often make trips to cities and villages, "engage in enlightenment," that is, we tell basic things. We talk a lot about family values, about children, their health and education, and most importantly, that children should not be beaten.

In their opinion, changes over eight years have been colossal:

— People started selling their goats to treat their children. Before, they didn't notice where their children were — sleeping in the desert for days, and that's fine.

The amazing story of this couple inspires not to stand aside, but to respond to the call for help!
