African volunteers provide humanitarian aid in the Zaporozhye region

In Melitopol, a group of volunteers from Chad, Cameroon, Togo, and Côte d'Ivoire has started working as part of the international project "Volunteers of Peace." This initiative, supported by MP Dmitry Kuznetsov, Melitopol State University, Bryansk State Engineering and Technology University, and other organizations, aims to provide humanitarian assistance to the residents of the Zaporizhzhia region.
African volunteers help the elderly and large families in the region's villages, participate in the work of the humanitarian headquarters, and improve the region's infrastructure. In addition to humanitarian work, the visit program includes exploring the region's history and culture, including a visit to the Votan Line Breakthrough Memorial, the Kamennaya Mogila Nature Reserve, the Mennonites Historical Route, and the Russia is My History Park.
The volunteers also plan to communicate with students of Melitopol State University and participate in sports events. The project participants emphasize the warmth of the reception and their interest in the region's history and culture, hoping to strengthen friendly ties between Russia and African countries.
